Hairy Biker Si King thanks fans for their 'solidarity, love and affection' after thousands ride a 75-mile motorcycle convoy in honour of Dave Myers following his death to cancer aged 66
Myers, who was part of the motorcycle-riding cooking duo with co-presenter King, died in February at the age of 66 following a battle with cancer .
A post on the Hairy Bikers' official account on X, formerly Twitter, read: 'A message from Si King to all the riders taking part in today’s Memorial Ride Out for Dave Myers. The ride was expected to last about two and a half hours, after beginning in Beverley Market Place before moving through various north Yorkshire towns including Scagglethorpe and Pickering ahead of arrival in Scarborough. Myers married Liliana Orzac, whom he met while filming Hairy Bikers in Romania, in 2011 at the star's hometown in Barrow, Cumbria and was stepfather to her two children, Iza and Sergiu, from a previous relationship
