Gwen Stefani talks creating stunning Purple Irises duet with Blake Shelton - says the song is 'about being insecure'


Some six weeks after releasing her duet with husband Blake Shelton, titled Purple Irises, Gwen Stefani has released a video detailing the song's creation.

While Purple Irises would make its premiere on February 9, the couple decided to debut it it live two days later during a performance at the Super Bowl LVIII TikTok Tailgate, the NFL's pregame livestream before the big game. Ultimately, they announced their engagement after five years of dating in October 2020, which led to their wedding at a chapel on his property in Oklahoma on July 3, 2021. Stefani is currently focused on her reunion with No Doubt at Coachella, which was announced in January, and then teased with photos and video taken inside the band's rehearsal space.
