Guster’s Ryan Miller Wrote Music & Lyrics for Upcoming Musical ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’
A new musical is hitting New York City, with Guster frontman Ryan Miller behind the music and lyrics.
The story reimagines Derek Connolly’s indie film of the same name and features new songs by Miller as it follows Darius, a low-level journalist who is assigned to report on a classified ad offering the opportunity to go back in time. Blaemire added, “I’ve been a fan of the film for years and always thought it could work as a musical, but the way it’s come together has been a series of serendipitous moments you can’t plan. Chance meetings with Ryan Miller and Peter Saraf and a lunch with Lee Sunday Evans sparked fast friendships and playful collaborations.
