Gunna to Make African Debut at Coca-Cola’s ‘Rhythm Unplugged’ at Nigeria’s Flytime Fest This Weekend

Grammy-nominated rapper Gunnais set to make his African debut as the headliner for Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged on Sunday.

Taking place at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, Nigeria, on Dec. 22, the performance marks a milestone in both Gunna ’s career and the legacy of the festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. This landmark performance comes as Gunna continues to ride the high of his Grammy nominated 2024 album, “One of Wun.” He also recently collaborated with Afrobeats stars Asake and SARZ on the track “Happiness,” highlighting his connection to the African music scene ahead of his Lagos debut. Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged, the festival’s centerpiece, has evolved from a local concert into a cultural institution, hosting global stars like Ja Rule, Ashanti, and Megan Thee Stallion alongside African icons.
