Greg Kihn, Singer & Songwriter Known for His ‘Jeopardy’ Hit, Dies at 75

Greg Kihn, the beloved pop and rock musician known for his hit "Jeopardy," died on Tuesday (Aug. 13) after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

The star, born on July 10, 1949, in Baltimore, Md., moved to San Francisco in the mid 1970s, where he became one of the first artists signed to Matthew King Kaufman’s Beserkley Records. He formed the Greg Kihn Band, featuring guitarist Robbie Dunbar, bassist Steve Wright, and drummer Larry Lynch, and the group released a self-titled album in 1976. In 1984, Kihn gave “Weird Al” Yankovic permission to parody his song into “I Lost on Jeopardy,” and even made a cameo at the end of the music video as the driver of a convertible.
