The Green Lantern series based on characters from DC Comics has moved from Max to HBO while receiving an official series order.
Gunn and Safran in a joint statement said: 'We're thrilled to bring this seminal DC title to HBO with Chris, Damon and Tom at the helm. John Stewart and Hal Jordan are two of DC's most compelling characters, and Lanterns brings them to life in an original detective story that is a foundational part of the unified DCU we're launching next summer with Superman'. Nathan Fillion, shown in August 2021 in Los Angeles, is set to portray Guy Gardner aka Green Lantern in the upcoming 2025 Superman film
