Green Day Grabs U.K. No. 1 With ‘Saviors’


Green Day is on top in the U.K. with “Saviors,” for their fifth leader.

1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, published Friday, Jan. 26, Saviors is the Rock Hall-inducted band’s fifth leader in the U.K., after American Idiot(2004), 21st Century Breakdown(2009), Revolution Radio(2016) and Father of All…(2020). Saviors finishes the cycle as the best-seller on wax, according to the Official Charts Company, with vinyl generating one-third of its first-total tally.
