Gravitas Ventures Acquires ‘Kitty To Cooperstown,’ Doc On Beloved Major League Great Jim Kaat

A documentary on baseball great Jim "Kitty" Kaat -- 'Kitty to Cooperstown' -- has been acquired by Gravitas Ventures.

Not only did the southpaw pitch in the World Series three times – winning a ring with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982 – but he became a great broadcaster, covering the MLB playoffs for ESPN, as well as serving as an announcer for the Yankees and later the Minnesota Twins. “Jim Kaat, affectionately known as ‘Kitty,’ enjoyed a prolific career spanning 25 seasons in Major League Baseball, pitching for teams including the Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, and St. Louis Cardinals. It also features interviews with broadcaster Bob Costas, and two of Kitty’s MLB contemporaries — Pete Rose(the Hit King who died in late September), and Tony Oliva.
