An Alone Australia contestant has become the first competitor in the 2024 season to acquire red meat after catching a possum at night.
The grueling show sees 10 survivalists dropped in the wilderness on New Zealand 's South Island, where they must outlast their competition for the chance to win $250,000. In bagging himself a common brushtail possum, Andreas is the first contestant to procure red meat in the competition, while the others have relied on either fish or berries to sustain themselves. The season one finale saw Gina Chick crowned the series winner, after braving the elements to survive in the grueling wilderness for a staggering 67 days.
