Grammys: Trevor Noah Jokes About Trump Tariffs, Immigration, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Beyoncé & More In Opening Monologue


Trevor Noah returned as host of the 2025 Grammy Awards for the fifth consecutive year and delivered some jokes about Donald Trump's tariffs, attack on immigrants, and more.

During his opening monologue, the former Daily Show host also mentioned Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Nick Cannon, and Rihanna after paying tribute to Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires. Noah also noted that The Beatles made history being nominated for a song created by artificial intelligence (AI) with the host joking, “I think if they win this, this could open up a few doors for them. Taylor Swift was also mentioned with Noah noting that the singer could make history and become the first artist to win Album of the Year five times, joking, “Which means she could break the record of four wins set all the way back in 2024 by Taylor Swift.
