Good Morning Britain regular rushed into intensive care and forced to undergo emergency surgery after 'nightmare' hospital dash


The 62-year-old broadcaster updated his fans on Tuesday. He is being forced to undergo emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder following the health scare and three hours in A&E.

He initially thought he was suffering from 'a nasty bout of food poisoning,' which left him absent from the radio on Monday, but Iain's symptoms soon worsened and he realised his condition was more serious.
