Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley admits he was regularly caned as a child and believes outlawed corporal punishment 'had a sexual element to it'


Madeley, 67, reflected on his childhood years, during which he attended Shenfield High School in Brentwood, ahead of an interview with Charles Spencer.

Discussing the book, Madeley was prompted to share his own experience of being caned as a pupil at Coopers’ Company - an all-boys grammar school in east London - with co-host Susanna Reid.
