Goo Goo Dolls ‘Heartbroken’ About Postponing Tour After Singer John Rzeznik Hospitalized With Pneumonia

Goo Goo Dolls were forced to postpone a three-show tour of South Africa after singer John Rzeznik was hospitalized with pneumonia.

This country means so much to us, and we were so excited to create more memories with you,” they said in an Instagram post that featured a video of Rzeznik from his hospital bed. The Dolls were slated to perform in Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria this week, shows that have now been pushed to late March 2025. The band’s next scheduled show is a Dec. 14 gig at the Naples, FL Live Fest 2024, followed by a Jan. 4 stop at the Event Center at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY before they kick off a February-March run of shows in Australia.
