Golfer Scottie Scheffler Arrested Hours Before PGA Championship Round 2
Scottie Scheffler was detained by Louisville Metro Police on Friday, May 17, hours before round two of the PGA Championship
He had been charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals, according to local outlet WAVE 3. The outlet’s sports reporter Jeff Darlington witnessed the incident, claiming that Scheffler was attempting to drive his car around a crash scene.
