The Globes moved to CBS earlier this year with a well-received and highly rated show that amounted to something Hollywood knows well — a comeback story. CBS’ broadcast of the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 7 averaged 10 million viewers (Nielsen Live+7-Day national ratings), up nearly +50% from last year, its largest audience since 2020. The telecast, hosted by Jo Koy, was also the third-largest live-streamed CBS special event on Paramount+ ever in terms of average minute audience and reach.
