Golden Globes Goes For “Increased Security Measures” After Fatal NOLA Attack & Las Vegas Tesla Cybertruck Explosion

The fatal New Year's Day attack in New Orleans has America & Hollywood on edge with the Golden Globes adding street closures, snipers & increased security

“We understand that current national events are very concerning and we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone,” Beverly Hills Public Information Manager Lauren Santillana stated to Deadline Sunday on behalf of the city and the BHPD. At the same time, given the spotlight around Hollywood’s first awards show of the year, security firm World Protection Group CEO Kent MoyerMoyer has faith that the BHPDs efforts are well coordinated with the LAPD, LA County Sheriffs Office and others. In a good sign as the Globes get underway this afternoon, the LA County Sheriff’s Department has implemented a temporary fix to its 38-year old-plus computer dispatch system for patrol vehicles after a systemwide outage which impacted a service area of 3.5M people.
