Golden Globes Ends Salaries For Its Legacy Voting Members

The Golden Globes will no longer pay a $75,000 salary to its legacy voting members.

This is the latest shift in the evolution of the Globes, which became a for-profit endeavor when it was acquired by a joint venture between Deadline owner Penske Media Corporation’s Dick Clark Productions and Todd Boehly’s Eldridge in 2023. That deal came after the Globes, previously owned by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, came under scrutiny for its practices and voting makeup.
