Golden Globes Adding Best Podcast Category Beginning In 2026
Organizers of the Golden Globes said the ceremony will introduce a Best Podcast category beginning with the 83rd Golden Globes in 2026.
“As the world of entertainment continues to evolve, we are excited to recognize new forms of storytelling,” Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne said in a press release. By celebrating achievements in both audio and visual podcasts, we aim to honor our heritage categories while making room for new voices and formats to be heard.” Starting with the 2024 show, the Globes added the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures and Best Stand-Up Comedian on Television categories.
