Gold Tree Secures $1 Billion in Financing From Malka Group For Film, TV & Animation Slates
Led by Gold Tree CEO and founder Tim Chonacas, the company will expand sound stages, equipment rentals, and post-production services in key tax-incentivized states to support its ongoing commitment to producing content across multiple platforms while offering world-class studio facilities. The partnership with Malka followed the recent production of Lear Rex, for which Gold Tree provided full post-production VFX for the star-studded cast which counts Al Pacino, Jessica Chastain, Ariana DeBose, Rachel Brosnahan, Stephen Dorff, Danny Huston, and Peter Dinklage. Gold Tree previously announced the dark comedy Chili Finger, with a cast including John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, Judy Greer, and Sean Aston.
