Gogglebox and Celebrity Big Brother star George Gilbey tragically passed away at the age of 40 following a workplace accident where he reportedly "fell 80ft through a skylight"
In a statement, Essex police said: "We received a report of an incident at Campfield Road in Shoebury at around 10am this morning (27 March), during which a man who was working at height had fallen and sustained an injury. He shot to fame on Gogglebox alongside his step-dad Pete and mum Linda (Image: Channel 4 screengrab)"This is a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive and our enquiries are ongoing." George, who had a seven-year-old daughter called Amelie, shot to fame on Gogglebox alongside his step-dad Pete and mum Linda back in 2013.
