Gogglebox star George Gilbey dies aged 40 as friends pay tribute to 'one in a million'
George Gilbey - best known for his hilarious appearance on Channel 4's Gogglebox - has sadly died at the age of 40 and tributes have poured in online from his friends
George - who was best known for making the nation laugh from the comfort of his sofa with his mum and step-dad - has died at aged 40 following a reported accident at his workplace. Essex Police this afternoon also said: "We received a report of an incident at Campfield Road in Shoebury at around 10am this morning (27 March), during which a man who was working at height had fallen and sustained an injury. Tributes have poured in for the star (Image: Channel 4)"We will continue liaising with partners including the Heath and Safety Executive.
