Gogglebox star Mary Killen revealed she was once close to death after contracting an infection which caused her body to start "shutting down". Mary, who appears on the hit Channel 4 show - which is on our screens tonight - alongside husband Giles Wood, opened up about the terrifying experience back in 2018. I caught it from air conditioning in the Bahamas and developed something called Beau’s lines: white ridges across the fingernails which are a sign that your body’s shutting down for death."
