Gogglebox fans are emotional after show airs poignant tribute to Stephen Webb's late mother Pat as new series begins
Fans were pleased for the hit Channel 4 series to return, but were left very emotional after a heartbreaking tribute to late star Pat Webb aired at the end of Friday's episode.
As the credits rolled, a picture of Stephen and his beloved mum on the show w captioned: 'IN LOVING MEMORY Mummy Pat Webb 1948 - 2024.' A statement read: 'We are deeply saddened to announce that Gogglebox star Mummy Pat Webb passed away this weekend at the age of 75 after a long illness. In October last year he was rushed to the Queen Alexandra hospital in Portsmouth, where medics told him he had broken his left ankle and would be on crutches for at least the next three months.
