Glen Powell Becomes an Assassin in Richard Linklater’s ‘Hit Man’ Trailer, Netflix Sets June Release Date

The trailer for Richard Linklater’s upcoming film “Hit Man” has been released.

Based on the 2001 Texas Monthly magazine article of the same name by Skip Hollandsworth, “Hit Man” follows a Houston police associate (Powell) who disguises himself as an assassin in order to catch willing clients. Coming off the success of “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Anyone but You,” Powell writes himself the role of a lifetime with “Hit Man,” collaborating with Linklater on the script. Linklater is known for his work on films including the “Before” romance trilogy, the cult favorite “Dazed and Confused” and the drama “Boyhood,” in which he explored themes relating to adolescence and aging.
