Gladiator II star Pedro Pascal praises Paul Mescal for 'lighting up' his scenes as he admits the film is 'unlike anything he's ever experienced before'
Pedro Pascal has praised his co-star Paul Mescal for helping him 'light up' scenes as he recalled shooting their first Gladiator II sequence together.
Pedro - who stars in the historical epic as the Roman general Marcus Acacius - claimed that shooting the blockbuster was 'unlike anything he's ever experienced before' on a film set despite his decades in the industry. Gladiator II - which also stars Denzel Washington, Connie and Joseph Quinn - follows Lucius Verus (Mescal), the former heir to the Roman Empire who is forced into slavery and eventually pushed to fight in the Colosseum in an effort to restore glory. Gizmodo senior reporter Germain Lussier said: '#GladiatorII doesn't quite rise to the greatness of the original but it's a damn fine sequel with big stakes, a solid story, & excellent performances.
