Gino D'Acampo is 'deeply worried over rising distress to his family' and urges ITV to contact him after fresh accusations he drew explicit image of female crew member during filming
The Italian chef, 48, is at the centre of claims from dozens of people who describe his alleged conduct over the past 12 years as 'distressing,' 'unacceptable,' and even 'horrendous '.
His team issued a new statementthis weekend in response to the latest accusation, that reads: 'Mr D’Acampo was first made aware of these allegations relating to events that are said to have occurred over 17 years ago on the afternoon of the Saturday 22nd February when he was emailed by The Sun on Sunday. It comes after D'Acampo's former host Melanie Sykes slammed the chef and television bosses earlier this month, saying the industry needs to 'clean out' the 'monsters' among its talent (pictured together in 2012 on their show Let's Do Lunch with Gino and Mel) She presented ITV's cookery and chat show Let's Do Lunch for three years alongside D'Acampo, but quit television in 2021 after what she claims was an inappropriate remark from MasterChef host Gregg Wallace.
