Gillian Anderson feels 'so guilty' for having a baby and going back to The X Files set 10 days later


Ahead of the release of her Netflix series Scoop, Gillian Anderson reflected on her earlier career including the moment she returned to The X-Files set 10 days after giving birth

Gillian Anderson, the star of Netflix’s new drama Scoop, has opened up about the “guilt” she felt early on her career, when she returned to work on sci-fi series The X-Files just ten days after giving birth. “Ten days after you give birth — by C-section, I might add — you were back at work,” TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie began during an interview on the US talk show on 3 April. In the interview, Gillian recalled the experience of heading back to work just 10 days after giving birth to her daughter via c-sectionCaesareans, or c-sections as they are more commonly known, are a major surgical procedure in which a baby is cut from the womb instead of delivered naturally, and often require around six to eight weeks of recovery before resuming normal activities.
