Gibson Launches Global Search For 'Back to the Future' Guitar

“It’s somewhere lost in the space-time continuum, or it’s in some teamster’s garage," Michael J. Fox said in a video, as Gibson will detail the search in the upcoming doc "Lost to the Future."

The guitar that Marty McFly famously played at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance in Back to the Future has been missing for decades, and hopefully it won’t take a DeLorean and a flux capacitor to find it. Fox wielded in the movie — announced that it’s on the hunt for the guitar, with the company sharing a callout Tuesday asking for anyone who may have details on its location to reach out with tips. “We’ve been looking into leads and rumors for a long time, and as you can imagine, we’re talking 40 years ago, so memories fade,” Lost to the Future director Doc Crotzer tells The Hollywood Reporter.
