They say the best romances start with friendship – and if recent whispers are to be believed, Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones might just be the latest duo to test that theory. The rumours seem to have began in March, with their joint 24-hour roller-skating challenge for Comic Relief, during which Gethin, 47, publicly praised Helen’s resilience and sense of humour. Gushing over how much he enjoyed spending time with Helen, Gethin also let slip a secret nickname for her, as he captioned a snap of the star sporting her red nose, “famous ferret”.
