Den of Thieves 2: Pantera stole the crown to land at the top of the box office. The thriller, starring Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson Jr debuted with $15.5 million in ticket sales.
The musical starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande was showing in fewer theaters after the film became available for sale and rental online with fans perhaps preferring to fork over the $29.99 buy the movie for repeated viewing at home. The film about a successful CEO who risks her career and her family when she begins a torrid affair with a much younger intern has earned Kidman a Best Actress award from the National Board of Review amid other accolades. Pamela Anderson and The Last Showgirl made its top ten debut in tenth place in limited release earning $1.455 million from showings in 870 theaters across the US
