George R.R. Martin Promises ‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ Will Have “Much Different Tone” Than ‘Game Of Thrones’

The 'Game of Thrones' spinoff won't be the same lengthy tale as its predecessors.

The new spinoff “will be a lot shorter than Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon, with a much different tone,” Martin posted Wednesday on his blog. The official logline for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is “set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory” and “great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.” Ryan Condal, who currently serves as House of the Dragon‘s showrunner, Owen Harris, Sarah Bradshaw and Vince Gerardis also will be EPs.
