George Clooney's friends and former costars celebrated his Broadway debut in 'Good Night, and Good Luck' at the Winter Garden Theatre on April 3. Anthony Edwards, Pierce Brosnan and Richard Kind spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the Clooney's big night.

Clooney’s longtime friend, comedian Richard Kind, kept things short and sweet while describing the Oceans 11 star to PEOPLE. The new stage production is an adaptation of the hit 2005 political drama of the same name about CBS news journalist Edward R. Murrow's legendary 1954 exposé on Sen. Joseph McCarthy. Clooney and Grant Heslov adapted the film for the stage, and the play is directed by Tony winner David Cromer.
