George Clooney and Julianna Margulies still call each other by their ER characters' names
Reflecting on the 30th anniversary of 'ER' hitting the air, star Julianna Margulies revealed that she and George Clooney still sign off 'Love, 'Carol' or 'Doug'' on personal emails to each other.

Margulies and Clooney's characters parted ways in season 5 when Ross was forced to leave Cook County General Hospital for Seattle after a number of ethical breaches. Margulies' character Carol largely stayed out of other romantic entanglements in her final season, opting to spend time with her and Doug's newborn twins.
