X/@GenFlynn Retired General and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn launched an expletive-filled attack on French President Emmanuel Macron for hypocrisy in handling the immigration crisis in Europe and for the continued economic plundering of Africa by France. These explosive comments were shared on social media as Flynn sought to amplify the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s criticism of Macron to which he added his harsh perspective on France’s colonial past. Though most in the discussion were in support of Flynn, some took a more balanced position: One felt that while they were not exactly keen on Meloni’s political interests, they respected her refusal of the EU immigration policies; another joked that Macron “has enough problems with his husband,” a phrase referring to ongoing speculation about the French president’s personal life.
