General Hospital star Leslie Charleson's tragic cause of death revealed one month after passing
The longtime soap opera actress, played Monica Quartermaine on the ABC series, passed away on January 12 at the age of 79.
The LA County medical examiner also listed Leslie had a history of asthma, arthritis, atrial fibrillation, and normal pressure hydrocephalus. Her death last month was announced on the General Hospital Instagram account, with executive producer Frank Valentini confirming the news. It was added that her 'enduring legacy has spanned nearly 50 years on General Hospital alone and, just as Monica was the heart of the Quartermaines, Leslie was a beloved matriarch of the entire cast and crew.'
