Gemma shares a close bond with her father, as well as with her mother, Joan, who recently suffered a terrifying health scare after she "stopped breathing", and was rushed to hospital in May where she was placed in intensive care. Gemma first spoke out about Joan's health scare in a social media post, saying she'd had the "shock of her life" after the 80 year old took a bad turn. Thankfully, Joan was 'stable' when Gemma shared the new update, as the reality star admitted that the hospital scare had made her look differently at life.
