Gemma Atkinson has opened up on what made her sure she had found 'the one' when dating now fiance Gorka Marquez, after the pair met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017
Hits Radio presenter Gemma, 39, who has also starred in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, looks blissfully happy with Gorka Marquez, 33, and in a chat with Scott Thomas for his Learning As I Go podcast, she said that the Spanish dancer not knowing anything about her UK fame was what made things work. The star also told how she had only dated other people in the public eye for a while after being burned by an experience with an ex who she'd met on holiday, saying he was the only boyfriend ever to have sold a kiss and tell story about her. She said: "It was vile, all untrue, but he had everything to gain from it, whereas I had everything to lose," adding that she felt safer dating other celebrities because "if it went wrong, they won't try and throw me under the bus".
