Gayle King Is a Grandma Again! Daughter Kirby Gives Birth to Baby Girl

King's daughter, Kirby, welcomed her first child in September 2021.

"Behind the scenes of the proposal," Gayle said in the first video, which showed Oprah Winfrey scouting locations for the photographer to hide so that Elise was not tipped off. After showing off several of her son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law's engagement photos, Gayle attached a video of the group -- which also included Kirby and Luca -- applauding and going in to inspect the gorgeous ring on Elise finger. The final slide showed Gayle with Will, Elise, and Luca, as well as a shot of the entire group holding up champagne glasses in celebration of the happy couple.
