A staggering 20 million viewers tuned in to witness Smithy and Nessa tie the knot, but the festive cheer didn't stop there. On New Year's Day, the BBC treated viewers to Gavin and Stacey: A Fond Farewell, a one-hour special documentary that offered an exclusive peek behind the scenes of the show's concluding episodes. Previously speaking about the new venture, Joanna said: "To be honest it was quite life changing filming the series, it was brilliant having such freedom, getting to go off on a boat with a really good friend of mine and just be free.
