Former Gavin & Stacey star Daniel Jeffrey has shared a touching story about being 'tracked down' for the show's grand finale, despite having stepped away from acting in recent years. Over a decade ago, Daniel portrayed Simon in the first two series of the beloved BBC sitcom, where he was introduced as a mate to Gavin Shipman (Mathew Horne) and Neil 'Smithy' Smith (James Corden), alongside Gary Finch (Jason Gregg). Sparks flew as this special picked up five years after the last ended on a cliffhanger, with Smithy undecided over Vanessa 'Nessa' Jenkins' (played by Ruth) marriage proposal, despite his involvement with Sonia.
