Gavin and Stacey creator James Corden has opened up about his reasons for not wanting to bring back the much-loved BBC sitcom, as its final episode aired on Christmas Day

James Corden, the star of Gavin and Stacey, has opened up about the emotional reason behind the decision not to revive the beloved series after its final episode aired on Christmas Day. The TV host and actor shared that his character Neil "Smithy" Smith and Vanessa "Nessa" Jenkins' story had to conclude with them together in the show's last episode. Speaking about another couple whose romance surprised viewers, Ruth revealed she had "always wanted Gwen to have a relationship" while James explained his decision to bring back Sonia.
