Today at the Parthenope Cannes press conference, actor Gary Oldman was asked about throwing his performance as Sirius Black in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban under the bus. Toward the end of last year, he told Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz that he thought his work as Black was “mediocre.” The Oscar winner said at the time, “Maybe if I had read the books like Alan [Rickman], if I had got ahead of the curve, if I had known what’s coming, I honestly think I would have played it differently.”
