Gareth Edwards in Talks to Direct New ‘Jurassic World’ Film
The "Rogue One" director is in negotiations to direct the all-new 'Jurassic World' film, days after the studio's talks with David Leitch fell apart.
The currently-untitled project, scheduled for release on July 2, 2025, will mark the beginning of a fresh storyline in the decades-spanning dinosaur series. It’s still unclear if any previous stars, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern or Jeff Goldblum, will return. The six-film franchise, which began with the June 1993 of Spielberg’s original “Jurassic Park,” has earned more than $6 billion worldwide.
