Gardner Family Didn't Eat at Hotel the Day Before Miller Died, Resort Says

The Arenas Del Mar Beachfront and Rainforest Resort issued a statement to TMZ Sports on Tuesday, March 25, claiming Miller and his family did not eat at any of their restaurants for lunch or dinner the day before his death. An official from Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Police (OIJ) then told CNN on Tuesday, March 25, that Miller likely died from “asphyxiation due to intoxication related to food poisoning.” Miller was vacationing in Costa Rica with members of his family — including his mother, Jessica, and father Brett, a former star outfielder for the New York Yankees — who all became ill at the resort.
