Game Of Thrones graduates to the big screen with upcoming film 'in the works' at Warner Bros.


Game of Thrones fans may finally see Westeros unleashed on the silver screen. Warner Bros. is 'working on at least one film' set in George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy world.

As fans know, the world of Thrones has dipped its toes into the theatrical realm before, as HBO organized special screenings of pivotal episodes from the original series in select theaters. In April, Kit Harington, known for his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, disclosed that plans for a spin-off sequel focused on his character had been shelved. Initially, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss envisioned concluding the series with a theatrical trilogy instead of the 2019 finale, and Martin himself hinted at the possibility of a movie to THR as far back as 2014
