Game Informer Magazine Shuts Down After 33 Years
Game Informer, the popular video game magazine from GameStop, announced that it will be shutting down after 33 years.
The GameStop-owned magazine published a memo Friday morning titled, “The Final Level: Farewell from Game Informer.” “From the early days of pixelated adventures to today’s immersive virtual reality realms, we’ve been honored to share this incredible journey with you, our loyal readers. By 2017, it slid slightly to 7 million copies, and by 2019 GameStop laid off roughly half of the Game Informer staff.
