Gabrielle Union Joins Growing List Of Figures Leaving X: “Enough Is Enough”

Gabrielle Union is joining a now-growing list of public figures that are leaving social media platform X.

“Platforms like X were founded on authentic connections, true engagement, and creative expression, all anchored in respect for user privacy and trust,” Union continued. However, the actress is not vanishing entirely, saying she can still be found on platforms like Instagram and its own X-like Threads, TikTok, Bluesky (a social media upstart very much in the vein of X), Spill and Facebook. While the recent mass exodus of celebrities, journalists and organizations alike would appear to only be stemming from Musk’s alignment with president-elect Donald Trump, X’s new terms of service — which stipulates that tweets, videos and photos will be used to train the artificial intelligence bot Grok — is also a raison dêtre.
