Gabrielle opens up on ‘guilt’ of juggling motherhood with her career
EXCLUSIVE: Ahead of the release of her new album, Gabrielle has opened up about the challenges of juggling a busy career with parenthood - including how she felt guilty for touring
For over thirty years, pop sensation Gabrielle has been delighting audiences with her phenomenal songwriting and stellar voice, penning a string of chart topping hits, including Out of Reach, Dreams and most recently Sorry from her forthcoming album Place In Your Heart. Although Gabrielle revealed she rarely took her children on the road and preferred to leave them in the care of her mum, she did recall one particularly tough situation in which her childcare arrangements fell through and she was forced to take them on tour. Thankfully however, with the help of her mother, the guilt was lessened enough to make it bearableLooking back at the experience now, Gabrielle admitted: “I remember later on hearing that everybody behind the scenes, especially the males, like the reps and everyone, were taking bets as they thought the tour would end because I didn't go on the road with a nanny!
