A Place In The Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin has died aged 50 following a long battle with lung cancer

Although he was originally given six months to live, cancer drugs and chemotherapy helped prolong his life and Jonnie only went public about his diagnosis two years later in November 2022. The TV presenter, who has son Rex, five, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with his wife Jessica, said he had chosen to keep his illness from his eldest child in particular, saying he does not want to'shatter his innocence'. Fans were overjoyed to see him living life to the full with one writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: ' Fabulous that you made it to the game and enjoyed the match.
