Fugees’ Pras ‘Hopeful’ for President Donald Trump Pardon
Pras Michel, who also extended support to Tory Lanez, faces a maximum of 22 years in prison following conviction in his conspiracy trial.
In 2023, Pras was convicted in federal court for his part in a conspiracy and corruption case, stemming from the musician funneling money from former Malaysian financier Jho Law for Barack Obama ’s 2012 campaign. Pras also gave a shout-out to Tory Lanez, who’s serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, and shared that he hopes the R&B artist gets a pardon from Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. Last month, Pras’ publicist, Erica Dumas, told The Hollywood Reporter, that the musician’s legal team “is exploring all available options following his case,” adding, “we remain optimistic about potential paths forward.”
